BLOG: And thus begins anew…
I wanted to apologize for not posting enough. Why? After three long years of blood, sweat and tears, I have finally graduated from Illustration & Design! Now that I’m a college graduate, I have a butt load of time on my hands! Thus, it begins…
Now that I’m working, I don’t that much free time, but that’s the beauty of social media, right? To make it quick & easy. Trust me, I’ve been drawing on my sketchbook a ton! I’m starting to use Twitter (@natdraws) and Instagram (@thisismysliceoflife) much more often, so I’ll be posting and linking most of my drawings to here on Tumblr. I am also preparing on re-vaamping my commissions board with new and improved work for something on the side.
Look forward on new content! :D
Deserted Island (20 mins)
Not perfectly timed because I was on and off on it. My teacher gave us a bit of time to practice our speed painting today. Nothing too fancy. Just messing around mostly.
BLOG: Tablet Pen REPLACED!
I’ve been dreading 3 weeks (of vacation no less) without having to use my tablet because the pen was broken accidentally. Yeah, it made me draw traditionally for a bit, but it’s really not the same.
I’m glad I got a new one shipped over. It feels so new to me. I had my old pen for nearly 7 years, but the tablet itself is still in tip top shape. On the bright side, I have 3 extra nibs now.
Happy Holidays everyone!
Hope that everyone is having a good time spending with those they love and care for. Lots of love to all of you!
Someone please shoot me. Branding myself is a lot harder than it sounds. Nothing like your teacher saying, “Nah, that’s not you at all.”
BLOG: New Icon!
Because my other one was a million years old.
Artists in Bloom Poster (without text)
It only looks kind of weird because there were originally other text elements to complete the look, but this was a project that could potentially be used for an event coming up for next semester. All of my classmates had to design this poster. Wonder which lucky artist’s poster will be picked?
Final render of hand [x]
BLOG: The stretch
It’s nearly 5am and here I am sitting in front of my shitty, heavy laptop that can barely withstand any of the software I use at school, the 3D software especially. I don’t even want to start with those ones.
Here I am pulling late nights with something that could’ve been easily prevented because I’m just too tired to function during the weekends until the very last moments on a Sunday evening
and it doesn’t help that I’ve been gaming a lot. It’s actually kind of common for someone who’s handling over 10 projects due in less than a month from now. All very different projects, let alone the final exhibition stuff right over. I can already tell that it’s going to be a really tiresome month…
Artists in Bloom Poster WIP (Graphite on bristol)
It’s been too long since I actually sat down to render stuff. It’s something I usually do kind of mindlessly. I should probably do this more on my spare time (which usually means never since I announced it).
